Happy Birthday Ben - Age 5!

Today is Ben's 5th birthday!

This kid does nothing calmly, slowly, or quietly. He is at 100% all the time. Just this morning at breakfast, we had to tell Ben to whisper just to get him to talk at a normal volume. When he smiles, he uses his whole face, and sometimes his body!

To quote his preschool teacher in his latest progress report; "I love Ben's imagination and sense of adventure!" He really is the most imaginative kid, and ALWAYS says what is on his mind. I would say Ben uses up an average person's quota of words before 10 am!

And Ben LOVES dessert - just like his mama!

Listen, I am not trying to brag or anything, but Ben is also super smart, maybe because he has picked up on all the schoolwork his three older siblings bring home. He is definitely ahead of where they all were at this age! But he also excels in silliness too!

Ben loves school and LOVES people! He is extremely social and will walk up to any kid, say hi, and start playing. He wants everyone to laugh and he wants everyone to be included. 

He is also extremely sweet, he gave out multiple hugs and thank you's today after opening his gifts. And if you want to see one excited kid, you should have seen Ben at Chuck E Cheese today! We felt like we were watching a tornado.

Ben isn't scared of anything. He was doing front flips off the diving board before he even knew how to swim. He will jump off the highest stair, or run down the steepest hill! He has had more bumps and bruises than all of the other kids combined. 

Basically, this is Ben's world, and we are all just living in it!
